1/5. M/M novella about a guy with an abusive ex going back to his home town to clean out his mother's house after her death, and the antiques dealer he meets. Uninspired but also unobjectionable, at least until the end where, well. See, our protag was in a physically, sexually, financially, emotionally abusive relationship for almost a decade, followed by intense stalking. And at the end of this story the ex shows up and is like "hey, so I got assaulted and it made me realize how horrible it was that I assaulted you that one time, so sorry," and the protag is like "well okay then, I guess I'll stop trying to hide from you." And they have a parting that is coded very much like the parting of two exes who had a mutual falling out, and not, like, say, one of them needs to be in prison.
