Yeah, you know, I have a difficult relationship with this genre. I spend a lot of time flailing and snarling about it, but I also find it compulsively readable. So to be completely accurate I should say that this book was in the most comfortable position on that curve of any recent urban fantasy reads. I mean, she's going to have to work hard to sell me werelion, and also OMG please worldbuild more. And write more smoothly. But I'm interested in the post-apocoliptic setting, and I actually do want to know what happens next.
