So did the ending, rife with Dag basically running away from all his actual responsibilities, annoy you even faintly the way it annoyed me? :) (I mildly liked the book until then, at which point it left a rather bad taste in my mouth. I mean, I know, it's just a a way to get them into the Wider World, as quietann pointed out above, but.... ehhhh.
