3/5. A fragmentary story of love and queerness and art and race and music set before and after the fall of the internet and the consequent fall of global capitalism.
Good stuff that deserved more of my focus than it got (rough couple of baby days, he's better now). This book is furious, with a deep vein of sadness. And now that I've sold you on it . . .
Seriously though, this is about networked societies, and how the internet had to fall to fix a mess, and how it had to be clawed back to fix the mess that created. It's complicated and compromised and inconclusive in a good way. This is messy stuff, and needs a messy book.
