Huh, I liked this one better than Deep Secret! But I also read it (and reread it, five years later) while very loopy with being in labor, which I'm sure accounts for a lot of it. Because the second time around, if not the first, I recognized that it's a book which may make more sense while being rather loopy.

I will agree consent wasn't handled very well, though. (I do feel like it was trying to... maybe? ...go somewhere with it, what with the myriad ways people fail in that respect, but it never quite engaged/)
