Fair Chance by Josh Lanyon

Fair Chance

3/5. M/M serial killer mystery about the college professor and FBI agent. Third in a series, and my God, what a blast from the past. I will never be able to read this series without thinking of that night, and that year, and that cancer diagnosis. But this time around there’s a lot more amazement involved. It’s ben just over seven years, and three apartments since then. She got better. I made a baby. We got married. We’ve had more cancer scares and surgeries and we’ve made amounts of money I could not have conceived of seven years ago. And – you know that myth about how every cell of your body is replaced over seven years? I’m about seven years into a career that is turning out to be in-the-room-where-it-happens wild, and it kinda feels true. Like the self I am now shares almost nothing with the self I was then.

Anyway . . . people probably come here because I talk about books? Ha ha ha. This one is good, if you like that sort of thing. Workmanlike Lanyon with some nice established relationship stuff and a creepy mystery.
