Oh man, I really should reread that. Like I said above, Axis is not as amazing, though it's still a perfectly decent book. I hold out hope for the concluding Vortex this spring.
You may also enjoy his other stuff. None of it is on the level of Spin, but Blind Lake and Chronoliths have a lot to recommend them. I found Julian Comstock entertaining but somewhat inexplicable. Things earlier than the late 90's get a lot rockier -- Bios was, well, young.
I just worry, because Spin was the first book of his I ever read, and I've been waiting ever since for him to do it again, and he just hasn't.
