I'm currently reading The Nine Tailors. I am very much not getting the impression that Sayers's religiosity is purely intellectual. Unless she means it in the same way that Bach's work could be described as purely intellectual. Maybe she means that she worships god partly through glorying in complexity and the human mind's capacity for it.
