I love the journalling in this book. "I got up. Today we had games with hair hanging on ropes. There is hot pot next, and there are still a million hours of today left to go." and "... The girls are divided into real girls, unreal girls, and imitations. ... Everyone is allowed to cross [the invisible line between girls and boys] to be nasty to Brian Wentworth."
