Thanks for the review! I'd been mildly curious about the Honor Harrington books, but now know enough to leave them alone and keep Jasper Fforde at the top of my TBR list.
Competent military SF is a good thing, but if I want that sort of story I can always read Clancy. Which reminds me; have you read the Clancyesque pastiche of LOTR? If there were a Weberesque pastiche in the collection I might have an excuse for posting this link, but as it is I'm being hopelessly OT.
