I believe books are ok for domestic US flights, just no liquids. I'm puzzling over whether cough drops are liquids or not.

I got 4 new books for the flights/vacation. Spin, The Chronoliths (same author), Dark Light by Ken MacLeod, and Califia's Daughters by Leigh Richards (Laurie R King under a pseudonym). I'm psyched to start them, but am being good and waiting until the car ride to the airport. It's an old family tradition.
