I am miles behind on my reviews at the moment, but Lisa Henry & JA Rock's The Good Boy is a not-my-kink book that I recently enjoyed (D/s, puppy play, age gap) - it felt like the characters were creating a relationship that worked for them, rather than being forced into roles. (Plot - younger character is shy rich kid whose parents embezzled a lot of money and skipped town; he makes a very bad deal with one of their creditors, and ends up mostly broken. Older Dom is photographer with good social network of friends and family who ends up helping younger guy despite himself, relationship evolves)
