I've often thought that 3-4 months of nausea, followed by 5-6 months of increasing fatigue, followed by hours of pain and intense physical labor, followed by the whiplash of a Full Hormonal Reversal, does not prepare one at ALL well to nurture a tiny, helpless creature which is by its nature entirely selfish.
